From the above numbers, Apple promises that M2 will have an overall performance increase of 40% compared to M1. I also tested the performance with Cinebench R23 and Geekbench 5 tools, M2 achieved better performance in both CPU and GPU, bringing a clear improvement in multitasking ability when I opened many different applications.

The video processing capabilities of the MacBook Pro M2 are impressive, easily handling multiple 8K video streams at the same time. The machine has high performance, especially in graphics tasks and daily use. During the time using the machine, I was impressed by the smoothness and coolness, the fan rarely worked even though I worked with many heavy tasks for a long time.

The 8 GB RAM once again impressed me when it was able to run multiple applications at the same time without any problems. I was able to multitask with tasks such as surfing the web, reading newspapers, editing Photoshop photos without freezing or slow response.

In theory, the M2 also has more memory bandwidth, reaching 100 GB/s compared to 68 GB/s of the M1, so it will optimize the user experience. The 256 GB SSD hard drive gives you enough storage space for office tasks, design,... however, because it is only equipped with one chip, the speed will be more limited than the M1 generation models.

Macbook has a 13.3 inch screen with sharp Retina resolution (2560 x 1600), providing true colors. High contrast thanks to 500 nits brightness, True tone technology automatically adjusts the brightness level to always ensure clear display no matter where you use it.

Apple has also made a small upgrade to the charger that comes with the new MacBook, 67W compared to 61W of the previous generation, so the battery will charge a little faster. I'm a bit sad that the M2 generation doesn't have MagSafe charger like the new Air, a sacrifice because the MacBook Pro M2 retains the old design.
